The Horizon Team
Where confidence begins and dreams take shape.
The Horizon Team is a curated group of incoming high school freshmen and sophomores who are ready to explore their creativity, grow in confidence, and begin their journey as part of the Cindy Curtis Photography family. It’s a smaller, intentional version of our Senior Team — designed just for girls who are discovering who they are and where they’re headed.
This team is more than just cute photos (though there will definitely be those!) — it’s about helping young women step into themselves with courage and joy. Through fun shoots, group hangouts, and meaningful connection, Horizon girls are reminded that they don’t need to change or perform — who they are right now is already enough.
It’s a supportive space where friendships are built, voices are heard, and every girl is encouraged to show up exactly as she is. This is a place to grow, belong, and shine — no pressure, just purpose.

The total Horizon Team program fee is $300.
Friendships & Confidence This team is about more than photos. It’s a space where you’ll be encouraged to show up exactly as you are — no pressure, no pretending. Just confidence, connection, and celebration.
You’ll meet girls from different schools, build new friendships, and make memories that last. Whether it's laughing over team games or getting creative at a shoot, you'll find a place to belong here.

The Horizon Team is an application-based program with limited spots available. My staff and I carefully review each application, and while I truly wish I could accept every girl who applies, space is limited in order to keep the experience personal, intentional, and impactful. If you’re not selected this time, please know it’s not a reflection of your value — I see you, I appreciate your interest, and I hope we’ll get the chance to work together in the future!
Applications will be accepted until 8pm on May 22nd.
Being part of The Horizon Team means you get to participate in creative photo sessions and fun activities throughout the school year — all designed to help you feel confident, make new friends, and have an unforgettable experience!
Here’s what’s included:
- A full outdoor team shoot in June with all Horizon Team girls — group and individual photos included!
- One individual mini sessions: in the fall 2026 or spring 2027
- Pop-up sessions at unique locations like sunflower fields, Christmas tree farms, and more. These are spontaneous and fun — not required, but highly encouraged!
- Group photo sessions throughout the year. Each includes individual and group photos, often with seasonal or themed elements.
- Group activities like game nights, bonfires, pottery painting, movie nights, bowling, and more.
- A personal online gallery from each session — download, print, and share all your favorite images.
- Digital images from every session, complete with a print release.
Requirements To be part of The Horizon Team, you must:
- Be in the graduating class of 2029 or 2030
- Attend a school within 30 miles of Fruitport, including: Fruitport, Spring Lake, Grand Haven, Mona Shores, West Michigan Christian, Muskegon Catholic Central, Reeths-Puffer, Orchard View, Ravenna, Coopersville, Oakridge, North Muskegon, Muskegon, Calvary Christian, Whitehall, Montague, or homeschool/co-op
- Be available to attend sessions in the Muskegon/Grand Haven area
- Be willing and able to travel to photo locations (transportation is not provided)
- Be kind, uplifting, and have a positive attitude
- Be active in school, sports, clubs, or community
- Enjoy being in front of the camera and excited to share your experience on social media
- Not be photographed by another photographer from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027, except for school sports/yearbook
- Promote Cindy Curtis Photography by sharing your images and experience
- Sign a contract and model release (student + parent)
- Follow @cindycurtisphoto on Instagram and like the Facebook page
- Be available for the required team events (see below)
What’s the Investment?
The total Horizon Team program fee is $300.
- $100 is due by June 1, 2026 (via venmo or invoice)
- $200 is due June 28, 2026 at the Full Team Session
- 2 team photo sessions
- 1 mini session
- All pop-up sessions
- Digital images

- Sunday, 6/7/26 – Meet + Greet & Mini Team Session | 6–8pm
- Sunday, 6/28/26 – Full Team Session | 5:30–7pm
- Sunday, 10/4/26 – Team Gathering | 6–8pm
- Sunday, 5/23/27 – Full Team Session | 5:30-7pm
- December 2026 – Christmas Gathering (PJs, games, & cookies!)
- February 2027 – Team Game Night
- April 2027 – Team Overnight (fun-filled evening with activities & connection)
